All-inclusive experience

Guided by generations of Tornedalian hunting tradition, Arctic Stalking offers exclusive and tailored hunting experiences in the far north of Sweden. Traveling on skis through frozen forests and wetlands, each hunt is shaped by the conditions in nature and your individual level of experience.

From your first contact to your final day in the Arctic, Robert personally guides and arranges every part of the experience — creating an authentic, safe, and unforgettable hunt in Arctic Sweden.

Hunting in winter

Hunting for capercaillie and black grouse in the wintertime is mainly done by traveling on skis when the birds are prone to sitting in the trees. When they do that, they are a bit easier to spot and hence easier to get a shot at.

The time for this is from mid-November till the middle of February when the season ends. There is also a possibility to hunt them in the trees earlier, but the chances might not be as good as during proper winter, as mentioned earlier.

The way to hunt them is by stalking with a rifle due to the fact that they are quite shy, which disqualifies the shotgun as a weapon.
